BioTe Hormone Replacement Therapy
What is BioTE?
BioTE Medical provides bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) to help solve hormone imbalances in both women and men. Your hormones are one of the most important regulatory systems that exist in your body, as they act as messengers, interacting with specific target cells and organs to stimulate them into action. As we age, hormone production changes and hormone imbalance can occur.
What are the signs and symptoms of low testosterone in men?
A low level of testosterone in a man means more than just a low sex drive or erectile dysfunction (ED). Symptoms consistent with low testosterone are:
- Low sex drive
- Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
- Chronic fatigue
- Loss of muscle mass
- Increased body fat (especially in the waist area)
- Decreased bone mass
- Mood changes
- Lower mental capacity
- Brain Fog
What are the signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance in women?
There are a variety of symptoms from hormone imbalance in women including:
- Night Sweats
- Hot flashes
- Decreased sex drive
- Weight gain
- Cold hands and feet
If your menstrual cycle has stopped before menopause, or if you are experiencing this or any other symptom of menopause, you may have low estradiol. An increase in UTIs, depression or painful intercourse may also indicate low estradiol in women.

Why Bio-identical Pellet Therapy?
Because it’s easy! As a patient, you receive two to four pellet insertions per year. This way you don’t have to think about it, and the hormone is available when your body needs it.
What is Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Pellet Therapy?
Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) can come in oral, topical and pellet forms. BHRT has many advantages over other hormone therapies – most notably, the consistent administration of the hormone prevents the rollercoaster-like effects patients often experience with creams and pills.
How long does a Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Pellet take to work?
As each patient’s symptoms are unique, so is each patient’s path to hormone optimization. Most patients report some symptom resolution in as little as two to four weeks, but full optimization may take up to six months. Your journey will be customized to fit your specific needs. It takes more than one to two weeks for your hormones to get out of balance, so expect it to take time to resolve.
How to Get Started
First, schedule an office visit with Premier Women’s OB/GYN, your BioTE provider to test your current hormone levels. Based on your comprehensive consultation and thorough blood work panel, your provider will determine if you are a candidate for BioTE pellet therapy. Your provider will schedule a quick follow-up appointment for your pellet therapy insertion.
